Our Past Initiatives
With national digitalization initiatives and strong encouragement for seniors to embrace digital technology, we are delighted to see that the majority of seniors interested in learning more about smartphone usage are now equipped with their own devices and proficient in using their fundamental features.
In light of the changes on the ground, we have adapted Project Wire Up and reintroduced it as 'HealthStart'.

Project Wire Up
An initiative to increase social connectivity and IT savviness among the elderly living in rental flats, community nursing and shelter homes. Many of them are socially isolated due to COVID-19 and have no family to help them with their daily activities.
TriGen is proud and grateful to be part of the Digital for Life Movement and would like to express our heartful gratitude to IMDA for their unwavering support and partnership.
What We Do
-
1. Equip
Equip the elderly with a mobile phone and data plan for them to embark on a journey to digital transformation.
-
2. Train
Train the elderly to use mobile devices. This ranges from basic functions such as calling, to more complex functions such as using applications for entertainment.
-
3. Connect
Connect the elderly to their family members, existing community partners, and to also befriend the elderly.
-
4. Educate
Educate the elderly on the importance of health screening, promote and facilitate the process of booking health screenings.
Timeline
1) Online Induction and Training
After signing up for the programme, volunteers will receive a set of online training materials. Volunteers are required to complete a quiz before attending the Volunteer Engagement Session (VES).
2) Volunteer Engagement Session (VES)
This is a compulsory 1 hour online session to be attended by all volunteers before their deployment. This session consists of a general briefing and Q&A segment.
3) Deployment
After attending the VES, volunteers can expect to be deployed within the next 1-2 months. This allows us to find a suitable match (e.g. language, location etc.) between seniors and volunteers.
Volunteers will conduct fortnightly training sessions for these seniors over 3 months. Volunteers will be assigned a Community Liaison (CL) from TriGen, who will be able to offer assistance if volunteers encounter any issues during visits.
